About the work
How much does a project cost?
Fixed prices, from $500 for a consulting half-day up to $4,000 for an MVP. Most builds land between $1,200 and $4,000. Send your details and I'll reply with a quote within 48 hours.
How long does a project take?
Real numbers from real projects:
- Starter sites: 2–4 weeks
- Full builds (apps, AI tools): 4–8 weeks
- Complex projects: 2–3 months
Your proposal includes a specific estimate.
Do I own what you build?
Yes. Once the final payment clears, the code, designs, content and hosting credentials are yours. Take the repo and walk away anytime.
What if I need changes after launch?
Every project includes a fix window after launch, usually 14–30 days, spelled out in the SOW. After that you can book a retainer or pay for new features as you need them.
Do you offer refunds?
Yes, if the first milestone doesn't meet the scope in your signed proposal. Once you accept a milestone in writing, it's final. The exact terms are in the SOW.
What tech do you build with?
The stack depends on what you need, but the defaults are:
- Frontend: Astro, React, Next.js
- Backend: Node.js, Python, Supabase, PostgreSQL
- AI: Claude, custom pipelines, RAG systems
- Infra: Netlify, Vercel, Docker
I pick the tools that fit the problem. If WordPress is the right call for you, I'll say so.
About the studio
Is this really a one-person studio?
Yes. I handle strategy, design, engineering and project management myself. When you email OtrovertLabs, you're emailing the person building your project.
What happens if you get sick?
Work pauses while I'm out. Short absences fit inside the timeline. For longer ones, the SOW guarantees a full refund of any undelivered work and immediate handover of all source code. I'll also refer you to a trusted peer who can pick it up.
Why hire a solo studio over an agency?
It depends on the project. Agencies are better for parallel teams, 24/7 coverage or very large scope. I'm better when you want speed, direct access to the builder and lower cost. If an agency fits better, I'll tell you.
Do you use AI to build?
Yes, a lot. It's a big reason projects move faster and cost less here. I review and test every line that ships, and I'm happy to show code from shipped projects.
Where are you located?
Newark, Delaware. I work with clients anywhere over video calls, async updates and shared repos. Proposals are governed by Delaware law and invoiced in USD.
